decent stay with minor issues

the room was clean. i found the breakfast area provided a nice space to start the day. free water refills were a plus. a balcony gave me a nice view.
the street noise was noticeable at night. the transfer i booked never arrived. i had to make alternative arrangements.

Acceptable but Problematic Stay

The resort sits in a beautiful setting by the river and has gardens. The breakfast terrace looks out over these features.
The sound isolation was completely nonexistent. I could hear neighbors, the street, and traffic clearly. A traditional chant played on loudspeakers all night making sleep nearly impossible. The room was also cold, about 16 degrees at 10 pm.

the staff was super helpful arranging train tickets (i really appreciated this). the free shuttle into town was very useful, and so was the included airport drop off. i loved the amazing set menu in the restaurant, and i also got upgraded to a beautiful bungalow with an amazing veranda. the gorgeous pool was a plus!
My room faced the street. It was a little noisy at night even though this town is usually very quiet.

the staff was very pleasant, and check-in went smoothly. i asked for help to organize train tickets and they were really helpful. i would definitely recommend this service (they were amazing).

The room was excellent and spacious. my room had a lovely balcony with a great pool view. the hotel provided bicycles to use. This was a free service. currency exchange service was also available at the reception.

the hotel is close to town but still quiet and peaceful. free bike hire made getting around town easy. the hotel offers shuttles several times a day if you do not want to walk (so convenient!).

mixed experience due to some issues
acceptable transportold bathroominsect problem
the staff helped us book transport, acceptable.
I found several issues disappointing. the bathroom fixtures looked quite old. during my stay, i saw a large cockroach on the mosquito net above the beds and a centipede in the shower. we chose this hotel for our honeymoon. I do not recommend it.
